  Tonight I stopped to refuel my motor bike. I looked to the attendant waiting for him to activate the pump.
  
  Then he made a muffled PA over some speaker system.
  
  I shrugged as I didn't hear him. I had my helmet on. I do that when I ride. I wear a motor bike helmet.
  
  The attendant than spent the next few moments pointing to his head.
  
  Eventually I understood that he wanted me to take my helmet off. I have never been asked to do this before when simply wanting to put fuel in my bike.
  
  So now after this song and dance the attendant is looking at me like I am an idiot. I even starting to feeling like an idiot because I didn't understand the obscure requirement to remove my helmet before using a petrol pump.
  
  I don't mind feeling like an idiot if I deserve it, sometimes I do deserve it. But in this instant I don't feel as though I do deserve it. I don't feel like I should be made to feel like and idiot by a petrol station attendee because I don't understand his muffled announcement and strange head pointing dance.
  
  Of course I have always removed my helmet before entering a petrol station. That is a well established understanding. But to simply use the pump, I have never before done this. Between the pumping of petrol and the motor bike it is one less thing I have to concern myself with.
  
  BP will no longer be a petrol station I will stop at. Not just this petrol station but all BP petrol stations.
